Trimester and Quarter Schedules
SFUSD uses different scheduling structures depending on grade level.
Elementary schools follow a trimester schedule. For 2026-2027, the three trimesters are:
- Trimester 1: August 17 – October 30, 2026
- Trimester 2: November 2, 2026 – February 12, 2027
- Trimester 3: February 15 – May 14, 2027
High schools and middle schools follow a quarter calendar. The 2026-2027 quarters are:
- Quarter 1: August 17 – October 9, 2026
- Quarter 2: October 13 – December 18, 2026
- Quarter 3: January 4 – March 12, 2027

Staff and Non-Student Days
